Propaganda (Satirical) Piece- Illegal Vs. Legal Cock Fighting

Experimental Piece

In the first piece (The Propaganda Piece) Two roosters are being lowered into a cock fighting ring using a traditional lift used to lower the cocks in. The second piece is merely testing the different ayers, effects and contortions of shapes and colors in photoshop.

I feel that both pieces are successful- though the first piece tells a story/ has commentary to it whereas the second one is just a experimental piece of 'pretty art'- making the first far more compelling.

              I tried to relay my progression from basic and stylized simplicity seen in the first few figures (The ones drawn in a simple contour drawing style) to the more complex (The ending drawings being the ones at the bottom with more complex lines and cross-hatching). 


It comes to late that I attempt to explore outside the medium of the pen by using charcoal to draw the very last skull in the bottom corner and I feel I should attempt to explore outside my comfort zone of the crisp, cleanness of pen and into the more 'messy mediums' so I can grow as an artist (Especially since the focus in our class seems to be from the graphite/charcoal mediums).
